I love pink! And Lace! so together it is a great summer pair.
It’s always so nice to spend a little time with my hubby. On Sunday we had a day of fun. Golf with some friends (I lost interest after about 5 holes) and then a dinner for 2 at a hibachi grill we like.
We are so thankful for this time together…just the 2 of us. When you become a parent it is so easy to loose yourselves in the craziness…especially with two little bundles at once! It took us some time to get back into spending time with each other…I am so thankful that my dear, sweet, hubby is so good at initiating dates. We had a great time…it feels good to feel like a “wife” instead of a “mother” sometimes.
I love my girls…and I love my hubby (he’s a stud…I know)!
Last week, I attended a craft night with one of my girlfriends and a few of her friends. I have been trying to go for several months, but just haven’t been able to coordinate schedules. It was a lot of fun….wine…chatting and a easy craft I thought I’d share with you guys.
Mason Jar Glitter Candle Holder
All you need is any kind of jar, cleaned and labels peeled and cleaned away. Elmer’s Glue and a few drops of water, a sponge brush and any kind of glitter.
Simply, Mix the glue with a few drops of water, then paint it on the inside of a clean jar. Sprinkle in a generous amount of glitter (lighter colors work best) and shake. Empty out excess and place a small votive candle in the bottom.
And there you have it. They look great in the day and light in the evening. I will definitely be making more of these!

I have been so obsessed lately with single serve desserts. First of all, I love anything sweet…Corey on the other hand could take it or leave it. So if I make a big cake, I HAVE to eat it all myself. So single serves just make sense for me.
It started with microwave mug brownies and cakes (don’t worry, I plan on sharing my favs soon) and now it has turned into giant cookies. You do have to cook it in the oven, but it is soooo worth it.Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie
2 Tbsp Butter Softened
2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp Beaten Egg
1/2 tsp Vanilla
2 Tbsp Peanut Butter….(I might sub alittle oil next time to avoid the peanut taste)
6 Tbsp Flour
2 Tbsp Quick Oats
1/4 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Salt
1/3 cup Mini M&Ms
2 Tbsp Chocolate Chips**Preheat oven to 325, Spray baking sheet with no stick spray. Mix Butter and sugars until creamed. Add egg, Vanilla, mix until well combined. Stir in Peanut butter, flour, oats, soda and salt. Then mix in M&Ms and Chocolate Chips. Will be sticky. Scoop onto sheet and cook for 20 minutes. Let cook and enjoy!**
Next time I am going to save some M&Ms and Chocolate Chips for the top of my cookie, just to make it look prettier. This recipe was fabulous and great to share. The original recipe was found on sallysbakingaddiction.com and there are several other types of giant cookies I WILL be making soon.
Last Sunday morning Corey and I were talking about family vacations. We are going on a trip next month, but the girls are not going with us, so technically we did not have a “family” vacation planned. I know the girls will probably never remember it, but I thought it would be fun to give them some new experiences. After breakfast at Cracker Barrel (YUM), Corey said…..”Do you feel like being adventurous?” Hmmmm…..I should have known I was in for it.
At 3pm we were on the rode, a trip to San Antonio for Sea World, The Zoo and Schliterbahn! So much fun. Needless to say we had nothing planned or prepared, which made it that much more fun. Overall, the girls did great. It was so fun watching them experience new things, their personalities really came out on this trip. Blakely is adventurous and isn’t afraid of anything. Bostyn on the other hand is cautious and timed of most things…including dolphins and getting in a water tube alone.
We cut our trip alittle short and cut out the zoo in order to be back for a dear friend who lost his father. But still had a super time!
We finally made it! Riding the luggage cart.
Eating Gelato on the River Walk
Feeding the Dolphins. The girls were a little scared. I don’t blame them…they are pretty big and have lots of teeth!
Shamu Show. I totally felt like a mom….I got a little chocked up when the first song came on and the whales were jumping around. It was so neat to watch the girls reactions!
The girls really enjoyed the little water park at Sea World
And they’re out!
This is a great recipe to use up berries that are starting to get soft and mushy. The combinations are endless…use vanilla, orange or lemon extracts or blueberries, blackberries or strawberries for a fun twist.

Here’s a way to stay neutral with dots. Pair a light chambray dotted shirt with a dark navy dotted skinny.
I love going to Hobby Lobby and Jo Ann’s Fabric to look at the remnants. It’s fun to pick up cheap fabric for a day that you may have a bit of a creative itch. I found theses three fabric remnants at Hobby Lobby and loved the color combo. Not quite sure what I was going to do with them, I got crafty and thought….”surely it’s not TOO hard to make a cute little boutique outfit.” So off I went. Unfortunately, I did not take step by step pictures. This is the first attempt at anything like this so I wasn’t even sure it would turn out. I youtubed most of how to make the ruffles and stuff. Anyway, I know there are really no instructions, but I thought they turned out cute enough to share!
I <3 Purple!
I know it’s a ROYAL color and all…but this is a comfy way to wear it. Some people are afraid of color…I understand…it can be a little loud. But FYI…it is in. Yes black is still a good old stand-by, but the brighter the better when it comes to fashion this summer. I personally adore it.
