Ready for a Jewelry Haul?? (Plus a little extra)
Pineapples are in. Not just to eat….to wear! They’re everywhere!
I am definitely not one to be afraid to wear a bold print. SO…wearing pineapple print pants or a top would not scare me, but for today, I’m going a little more subtle.
These small pineapple stud earring were what created my look today.

I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother’s Day!
Mine was definitely a great one. Corey and I went to a music festival with the girls on Saturday afternoon/evening. It was so much fun watching the girls dance around and play with the other little kids. Corey and I had a fun time to, enjoying Easton Corbin and a few drinks. We stayed the night in a Hotel with the girls, so my Mother’s Day started by waking up with both my sweet little baby girls in the bed with me.
We made the short trip back home and then had a relaxing afternoon at home. I snagged a 2 hour nap while the girls were napping which was a good gift on it’s own.
The pictures above are of the evening spent with my parents, sister, and nieces.
The girls ate pizza topless to ensure clean shirts for pictures later in the evening. We went all out with the fancy newspaper table clothe! Lucky for me, my family is pretty content eating of newspaper as long as you through some crab legs on it. So that’s exactly what we did. Crab legs, green beans, fried okra (Corey’s request), French bread, with a few pieces of fish and steak from the grill.
We ended our feast with chocolate buttercream filled puff pastries with whipped cream and strawberries.
As you can see from the pictures, the girls had a great time playing together. You can probably also tell that trying to get all the mommas and kids in one picture, smiling is close to impossible.
It was a beautiful day. I am so thankful for my amazing mother who has shown me how to be a mother to my sweet little babies. I am more than beyond blessed to have had many wonderful women in my life that have been a Godly example of what a mother means.
Thank you Lord for Mothers….my Momma, and entrusting me with your two little angel babies to be a mother to. Please make me who you want me to be, more of You…less of me. I pray that I will keep my priorities as a mother in line with what you want, to point them to you.
Amen- and Amen!
Since it’s been a little while since I’ve done a update on the girls. I thought I’d use these snapshots I took of the girls as a good excuse to fill you in.
They are absolutely loving the new house!
More room to run and play = happy little girls.
They are getting so big and into everything. But, they are so fun to watch. They are both so sweet to each other and then the next second they’re fighting over something. Typical siblings!
Bostyn is really talking well. She asks “What this Momma?” about 100 times a day. Luckily, she is also really good at saying “I lub you” , which makes up for all the questions.
Blakely is the fastest little runner and highest jumper. She loves to dance and is super entertaining. It melts me to hear her sing in the back seat….she may be famous someday!
It’s pretty awesome being a momma.
In fact, I was in the mall waiting in line to get the girls a pretzel. There were tons of teenage kids in line in front of me. I was not paying much attention to them, but did overhear a girl walk up to the group in front of me and say , ” I was over there in the other line and I felt like a mom!”. Not quite sure what the whole conversation was, ….but they all looked at me and then at each other and were noticeably embarrassed. I ignored it and acted like I didn’t hear them.
Inside I wanted to tell them, I remember being a teenager. It was pretty great, not much responsibility, lots of fun and a great social life. Staying out late on the weekends and not having to get up early the next day. Chasing boys, lots of girl talk, tons of fun! Yep, I remember those days. But trust me, as good as my high school/ college life was, it’s still pretty awesome NOW.
I love being a wife to an awesome husband and a momma to two fun 2 year olds. It’s crazy, hard, exhausting, trying and FABULOUS… I wouldn’t trade it to go back to high school.
So, teenage girls in front of me in line at the pretzel place, don’t feel embarrassed because you said you felt like a mom, …like that might offend me. It makes me smile (and giggle a bit inside), because I was you. AND I know someday you will know that it is pretty amazing to be where I am now!
Don’t let this outfit miss lead you! I am not by any mean a person that works out. I do enjoy pilates and yoga every now and then, and play golf every once in a while. Other than that…not much else.
With that all said, I enjoy wearing athletic clothes. They are easy, comfy, and practical when running around with the girls.
Top- Old Navy
If you’re a little unsure about wearing a bold statement pant, (which is totally in for spring) try pairing them with a very neutral, casual top and some fun accessories.
