Summer Capsule Looks

I’m so excited to share this post today. I’ve been working on a summer capsule wardrobe that works easily together to create lots of different looks with just a few pieces. It’s not for everyone, I know. But, I love the idea of have so many pieces in your closet that work easily together. It’s a time save, and probably saves you money in the long run too!

There are a few tips that I learned along the way.

  1. Pick a color palette and stick with it. Not just one or two shade, but a few different colors that pair together easily. I chose warm shades because they’re super on trend right now and they’ll also transition into fall effortlessly too. (kind of a two for one!)
  2. Chose some different textures and prints that give each look something different. I love the linen, open knit sweater, dainty, florals, and animal prints that are everywhere right now. Which brings me to my next tip.
  3. Don’t be afraid to mix prints and patterns together. It instantly makes your style a little more elevated and as long as you own it, it will look amazing. Plus, keeping in the same palette makes this much easier to do.

So, now that I’ve shared some tips, let’s get started. To make it easy all the items are from Target (who doesn’t love Target, right!?) I did add in a couple of accessories too. 2 different handbags, 1 belt, a denim jacket, a pair of sunglasses, and a sun hat, all which more than likely you probably already have in your closet.

12 pieces of clothing for 21 different looks. Or at least that’s what I’m sharing. But, really the possibilities are endless.

This skirt has a dainty floral print and muted warm tones that work perfectly with lots of the tops. Plus, the smocked waistband makes it really comfy. It can easily be dressed up or down for a versatile style.

Lounge wear and athleisure styles are everywhere and these shorts are great for a more laid back style.

A light wash pair of shorts is a must have summer essential and these have a fun frayed hem that gives them tons of style.

A flowy wide leg linen pant can be such a game changer from your wardrobe. They’re easy to wear casually with flip flops or dressed up with the wedges.

Finally, the maxi dress is super flattering and the more fitted style and solid shade makes it easy to layer over to make lots of different looks.

So that’s it! Pretty easy really. And once you pull all your pieces together and mix and match them. It makes getting ready effortless.
