I don’t typically wear skirts on the daily other than to church, so my options were limited. Instead of a printed skirt as pictured, I went with this solid a-line in burgundy and paired it with a fun printed top. Add a classic black heel and classy burgundy tote to match and wha-lla!
Today I’m styling this “must have” cardigan for a bit more classy look. Maybe something I’d wear for a casual date night. A good pair of skinny jeans, great pump and clutch make this the perfect balance of dressed up and casual.
I have been eyeing this skirt for quite awhile now. So, when Dillards had their First of the Year sale on Jan. 1. I was so excited to see the store I was at had it in my size. (It was just meant to be) Prepare yourself…..there will be LOTS of style posts with featuring this skirt in the near future.
I have always loved hats, but it always seems like they don’t look quite the way I want them to when I put them on. After seeing this bini while shopping the other day, I fell in love and knew I HAD to find a way to wear it. Surprisingly, I love it as much on as I did when I saw it. Will definitely be tying to make it work with like every outfit now!
I’m sharing these a little late, but I thought I’d go ahead a post some pictures of a few cakes I made a few months ago.
The first is for my dear, sweet friend’s baby shower. This was the first time I made fondant flowers. They ended up turning out pretty good, but they took FOR-EVER.
The second cake is for a first birthday party. Her momma sent me a picture of this cake to recreate. I wasn’t sure how I was going to make the bird on top, but overall…it turned out super similar to the pictures she sent me.
The next cake is for the cutest little one year old birthday party. This little princess’s mother also sent me a few pictures of a cake but also requested a few changes. It tuned out super cute.
I just love using some creative juices to make some super fun cakes.
This weekend I got to share a great opportunity with some very special “Wing-Women”.
Birchbox & Benefit Cosmetics were kind enough to send me samples of some of their new product to share with my girlfriends.
It was a great excuse to get these sweet mommas out for a night of girl talk and makeup.
The decorations were inspired by Benefits vintage style and food was appropriately named after their products. (Sugarbombs, Big Easy Shrimp Cocktails, Bella Bamba Fruit Cocktails, Hoola punch & Dallas BBQ Sliders)
We had a blast trying to master the art of winged liner….not too successful, but definitely laugh worthy!
I love weekends…and weekend style!

Fun people deserve a fun cake!
This is no exception for some very good friends of ours, Ashley & TJ.
TJ turned 30 and his sweet little wifey through him a luau party.
Here’s how the cake turned out!
Don’t let this outfit miss lead you! I am not by any mean a person that works out. I do enjoy pilates and yoga every now and then, and play golf every once in a while. Other than that…not much else.
With that all said, I enjoy wearing athletic clothes. They are easy, comfy, and practical when running around with the girls.
Top- Old Navy
I love watching product empty videos on YouTube, so I decided to start saving my trash a couple months ago and share it with ya’ll.
So…In an attempt to be HOT…if you will?!!
I’m going to put a spin on it and go with sriracha. I mean it’s pretty hot right. And on top of that I just love graphic tees and want to wear them every chance I can!

Today I’m handing over the reigns to Lisa from Showered With Design. She has a fabulous blog that ya’ll should definitely check out.
Hey all! My name’s Lisa and I blog over at Showered With Design. I am so excited to be sharing my Christmas Wishlist on Kimberly’s blog! Christmas is my favorite time of year not only for the gifts we receive but I love spending quality time with close friends and family. I have a pretty big family, and it’s not easy planning a time to get everyone together, so Christmas is a great excuse to have everyone in the same household. It’s fun watching my young cousins open their presents! I compiled a list of my favorite ten items I am hoping to find this year under our Christmas tree.
Take a look at these great gifts to get the ladies in your life this Christmas!
Lots to choose from and all items are listed with links in the down bar in the video.
