There’s really no better or classic pattern combo than leopard & stripes. My obsession with both are strong so naturally this is a pretty easy look to put together. This top is swing top I picked up last season in just about every color. With a baby bump, I seem to want to have tops tighter at the bottom so you can tell it’s a baby and not just a few extra cheeseburgers. (although that is true too!) So, on a lot of tops, I’ve been tying them up just to give them a bit more shape.
So this is just one more piece that I am slightly obsessed with from Marie and Mae! It’s perfect for spring and summer and will be great over a swimsuit, romper or simple dress. The sleeves are so cute with a fluttery, angle type look.
I love the style of a good moto legging. This pair in dark charcoal are so edgy and a fun change from a light spring look. Plus, when styled with a more trendy, feminine off-the-shoulder top, you get a fabulously balance outfit.
This dress is seriously perfect for spring. The colors & pattern are spot on and obviously I love the fact that it’s off the shoulder. And Bonus, this number can also be worn as like a tube style dress too! Check it out at Marie & Mae
I have to be honest, recently I have been living in t shirts and cardigans or tanks and kimonos,…depending on the weather. It’s just comfortable at this point and makes me feel like I half way have it together. I love this one from Marie & Mae. It has amazing bold colors, a fun floral print and it will look great for almost every season.
Ok, so another amazing top for Marie & Mae. It’s so feminine and fits over the baby bump. Ha, maybe not for too much longer though. Anyway, I love the romantic look but the colors are warm and dusty.
Seriously, how cute is this top?! I love anything cold shoulder or off the shoulder and add in floral prints and pink…..I’m sold! My sister recently opened up an online boutique that has some of the cutest pieces that are all super affordable too. Check it out for this top and a ton of others that you’re probably going to need.

Do you guys ever go over board on accessorizing???…Sometimes, I just can’t quite tell myself “ENOUGH”. Oh well, hats, jewelry, layers….why not! Plus, when it’s literally freezing outside, sometime, more is more!!!
This color is so rich and fabulous for the season. I love this top on its own but can totally see myself wearing under cardigans and vests threw the winter months.
Since Thanksgiving is literally 1 week away, I wanted to share super festive look. It pretty much speaks for itself. Plaid, warm tones,…denim & booties. So more importantly, let’s talk about my little momma helper (also pictured).
Bostyn wanted me to take her picture with her babies. She’s been really into being a momma. Mostly just trying o tell Blakely what to do, but also reading to her baby dolls and taking care of them (changing, feeding…ect) I think it’s so cute that her babies are twins. I guess that’s just normal to her. Oh, and by the way, both the girls are very into “dressing themselves”. I told them it’s fine when we are at home, but school days momma gets to. They definitely have their own sense of style. Cuteness.!
I love this color….I think I would be ok if this was one of only 5 colors in my closet. Seriously, it’s perfect for Fall! So naturally, when I saw a plaid top in the hue, I grabbed it as quick as I could.
Here are a few others plaid tops I’m loving!
I picked up this blazer a few months back and am totally obsessed with it. It’s definitely a statement,……and not for everyone. But, I love the mix of warm brown and black with the soft pink and touch of neon. It’s such a fun and unique balance and truly great for almost any season.
Plus, how cute is my sweet helper. This is real life…shooting outfits with babies near by.
I don’t know about you guys, but I LOVE accessories! It’s a serious obsession/sight problem. Recently, I have been dying to style a look with one of these cute little neck ties. I absolutely love this one in navy, burgundy & mustard….doesn’t get much more Fall-esk!
Flair denim is also not my typical go-to. I usually stick with skinny and boyfriend styles, but these are fun and perfect for Fall.
Fall Staple=Plaid Button Up
I don’t know about you, but an essential Fall item that I have way too many of in my closet are plaid tops. They’re so cozy and comfortable and make looking stylish effortless. A pair of distressed denim and a plaid top….DONE. They are also a super versatile item. Wear them alone, layer underneath a sweater or oversized cardigan, layer them on top of a boyfriend tank, or tie one around your waist for extra detail. Seriously, if you don’t have at least one or two, pick one up…they’re life changing!
On that note, I like to have one in almost every color and fit. So, I included a few that I tried on (and bought) recently at Charlotte Russe. They are lightweight and great for layering. There were tons of colors and styles, so more than enough to chose from. Plus, they are a great price point so you can splurge and buy several. I can wait to style. These new pieces, but wanted to go ahead and give you the heads up on where to find them. (PS – I’m wearing a large or medium in all of these so they’re an oversized fit)
I have to admit, I’m a little stripe obsessed these days. The section of my closet that is designated to this classic, easy to wear look is growing weekly.
I love the fit of this top in particularly. It’s flowy and comfy while still looking tailored.
I was a little on the fence about this plaid when I picked it up at the NSale (Nordstrom Anniversary Sale) a couple months ago.
I love plaids, they’re a great Summer to Fall transition piece and can be layered with through the colder months of Winter. But for some reason I always tend to go for more green, blue or red types of plaid. This was a very neutral color to pick, and to be honest, I’m not exactly sure why I chose this of all the colors it came in.
No the less, I’m so glad it ended up in my closet. Because it’s so neutral, I can wear it a million different ways. So, with that said, be prepared to see this top on repeat for the next several months.
This olive cardigan is truly a piece that I can see myself wearing multiple times a week when the weather gets a little cooler. But for my final look this week featuring this gem, I chose to style it SUPER casually with a pair of distressed girlfriend jeans and a simple stripped tank. I’m going to be living in this come fall/winter!
Today I’m styling this “must have” cardigan for a bit more classy look. Maybe something I’d wear for a casual date night. A good pair of skinny jeans, great pump and clutch make this the perfect balance of dressed up and casual.
Happy Monday!!! It’s a super busy week around our house. Corey as a training he’s running the first part of the week, I’ve got a training for a new gig on Wednesday, the girls have meet the teacher night Wednesday night and they start Pre-K at our church on Thursday. Boohoo…this momma is running on fumes and trying to hold it together.
So,….I thought it would be fun this week to share 3 different looks all based around this perfect cardigan for Fall. Today, for a casual very “fall” inspired look, I paired it with a orange and cream striped swing dress, blanket scarf, booties and a hat. Now, if we could get some cooler weather we’d be set. Stay tuned this week for 2 more outfits you can pull together quickly with the help of this cardi.
I love white denim….especially when it is distressed. I’m so thankful that the whole “don’t wear white after labor day” is not followed anymore. In fact, wearing white through the fall and winter is a super big trend right now. So don’t put all your white away. I love pairing olive green with white, so I’m sure this color combo will be on repeat through the fall and winter with long sleeved tops and sweater
