I love white denim….especially when it is distressed. I’m so thankful that the whole “don’t wear white after labor day” is not followed anymore. In fact, wearing white through the fall and winter is a super big trend right now. So don’t put all your white away. I love pairing olive green with white, so I’m sure this color combo will be on repeat through the fall and winter with long sleeved tops and sweater
I have been loving Target lately for some great basic staple pieces. Today I am sharing some things I recently picked up for a total steal. Not only is Target’s price point very affordable, but ad in a sale….and you just cant beat it!
Here are some of my top picks.
I love these tops , (striped link here) so much I got them in 3 different colors. They are a swing tank with a super flattering racer cut that makes your shoulders look super feminine. The colors are perfect and they can transition into Fall and Winter seamlessly. Throw on a cardigan or light weight jacket for a perfect Fall look.
More neutral stripes!!! Yikes, I know. Anyway, I love both of these and will be wearing them tons. The first is grey and white stripe, but has a kind of interesting back and the second is the perfect combo of cream and black with a eye-catching side panel. I also love this light green top I didn’t picture bc I was wearing it. I got it in a large so it would be super oversized, and already don’t want to take it off.
I also picked up these jeggings. I love the raw hem and the fact that they are cropped. I don’t have any just like them. Also, the distressing is patched underneath so your skin doesn’t show threw. I have another pair with this kind of distressing and they are great for when it gets a little cooler.
Sometimes….simple is best. Dark denim and a perfect light weight woven tee by Lush make for a super classic put together look. I have totally fallen in love with Lush for tons of basics. They have great classic tees, perfect tunics and great staple dresses. Plus Lush is a super affordable brand.
PS- Is it just me or do you guys have trouble falling asleep at night due to the thought of Christmas and Thanksgiving??? Seriously, I can’t quit thinking about recipes and decorations and candles….it’s a problem. Luckily I’ve got some good ole Zzz Quil to help me out. HA Happy Sleeping!!! #ZzzQuil
Ok,…so remember a couple weeks ago I posted a look featuring a crop top paired with skinny cargo pants??? Well, if you didn’t get a chance to see it it’s here. I know not everyone is totally comfortable wearing a crop top (especially me), so I wanted to style the same crop top in a way that is a bit more conservative. It goes to show that you can take most any article of clothing and style it in a way that will totally fit your comfort level and style.
Here, I paired the same top with a high waisted, very flowing maxi skirt. To ensure that the top would not “ride” up, I belted it with a large somewhat statement belt. And ta-da- a fun way to wear a crop top.
I love neutrals. There is definitely no denying it. On most days I am wearing comfy denim with a neutral top of some kind. Mixing them all together somehow works perfectly. I love this look, all of my favorites wrapped into one outfit.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public tomorrow!!!

Here are some of my top picks
1. Plaid Tunic Shirt (here), 2. Deep V-Neck Tee (here), 3. Karly Shift Dress (here), 4. Deep V-Neck Sweater (here), 5. Henley Thermal Top (here), 6. Low Scoop Neck Tee (here), 7. Open Front Cardigan (here), 8. Lace Up Back Top (here)
I know a lot of people either like to order online to avoid the crowds or because they don’t have a store near by. So I have included some dressing room pictures below (not the best quality) as well as a try on video below so you can see how these items fit as well as sizing information. I sized way down in a lot of things. I like an oversized look, but some items are sized way big.
I recently found this top at H&M and fell in love. It’s so feminine with the off the shoulder, floral print. (comes in several color options) Because it’s so feminine, I wanted to style it in a way that would balance it out. I paired it with some skinny cargo style pants and edgier heels.
Ok, so let me be real for a minute. I am in my 30’s (barely) and a mother of two. So, normally I would not be making my trip to Target in a top that shows off my mid section. But I also love fashion, and crop tops are big right now….so I wanted and felt like I needed to incorporate them into a look. This is something that I might wear to a casual night out with my husband.
Also…..keep your eye out for a post in the near future featuring this same top, but styled in a way that is a bit less revealing!
I know….another one of these tops. I told you I can’t get enough!!! Anyway, I had to share this one with you asap. I just picked it up at H&M a couple days ago and it was such a good deal that I’m not even going to tell you how much I paid for it. The print and color are summer perfection. I just love the palm leaf print…it’s everywhere right now.
I can’t find this exact top online but it’s definitely still in stores!
I love love LOVE this look!!! It’s the perfect summer outfit that can be casual or dressed up super easily. This off the shoulder top is such a pretty color and buttery soft cotton material. I picked it up at Maurice’s. They had a couple different colors and I kind of what to get it in them all!
This cold shoulder dress is perfect….first of all, it’s black and white striped (enough said, right?). Super easy to style and can be dressed up or down. Also, and probably most importantly, it is the softest, light weight material that breaths so easy in the summer heat!
One of the most important things when creating an outfit is balance. Often, off the shoulder pieces are very feminine because it shows off your neck and shoulders. So pairing an off the shoulder top with distressed denim and a choker adds a little edge to an otherwise feminine outfit.
As fast as the last two months have flown by, I’m positive that the 4th of July will be here before we know it!!! I love wearing blue and white year round, but adding in some red instantly makes your outfit 4th of July appropriate. The ruffle on this shirt is so feminine and is easily balanced out with a good pair of distressed white denim.
